Differences in the Manga[]

Chapter 75
  • After having ran into Yukji, she tells Hayate that she had ran out of money and had been evicted from the night duty room at Hakuo Academy. This is not present in this episode.
  • Afterwards, Hayate runs into Himuro who tells him that he sensed money nearby and notes that there's one million yen in Hayate's pocket. This is also not present in this episode.
  • Now realizing that his million yen would disappear if he stayed around Yukiji, Himuro and Sonia, Hayate gets rid of them by throwing his jacket containing 100,000 yen into the air. In the manga, Hayate agrees to play a session of mahjong with them and after having lost to them, Hayate escapes from them by leaving his coat containing 50,000 yen behind and climbing out of a bathroom window.
  • After having escaped, Hayate runs into Souya Minamino, Mitsumi Seto, Hijiri and his former classmates from Shiomi High, who then take him to a restaurant where they unwittingly leave him with their bill for 50,000 yen. This is absent in this episode.
  • With 900,000 yen left, Hayate overhears a woman who is being forced to repay her 500,000 yen debt to the Yakuza. Wanting to help her, Hayate loans the woman 500,000 yen, to which Kashiwagi criticizes him for taking on her debt. Hayate responds by telling him that his lady would be disappointed if he didn't help, leaving the Yakuza members with the impression that he was a pedophile. This is also absent in this episode.
  • Now with 400,000 yen, Hayate accidently bumps into a child, causing him to break a vase valued at 200,000 yen. In the manga, the vase was valued at 400,000 yen.
  • Now finding himself at a park with 200,000 yen, Hayate gives the remainder of his money to a little girl who had lost her wallet, a young man who had no funds to buy a plane ticket to visit his sick father, a young couple and a struggling manga artist. This is not present in the manga.
  • Now in the late hours, Hayate finds himself at Loser Park with no money. In the manga, he had 12 yen left.
  • While sitting in the park, Hayate remembers Maria's offer to give him more money if he had ran out. This is absent in this episode.
Chapter 76
  • At the Katsura residence, after Hayate had warmed himself up by taking a bath, Hinagiku's line about how boys are quick at bathing is absent in this episode.
    • Additionally, Hinagiku's clothing has been slightly altered. In this episode, Hinagiku is seen wearing a black long sleeved T-shirt. In the manga, she wore a frilled short sleeved shirt over a long sleeved T-shirt.
  • As Mrs. Katsura tries to convince Hinagiku to let Hayate try on one of her skirts, Hayate's monologue of the events leading up to him being taken into the Katsura residence, is absent in this episode.
  • After having interrupted Mrs. Katsura's attempt to getting Hayate try on a pair of cat ears, Hinagiku asks Hayate if he would stay for dinner. This is not present in this episode.
  • Upon entering Yukiji's old room, Hayate is shown carrying an umbrella. In the manga, he was shown without one.
    • Also, Hinagiku is shown to be cleaning up the old liquor bottles Yukiji left behind. In the manga, she doesn't.
  • At the Sanzenin Mansion, Nagi tells Maria that the mansion seems bigger without Hayate. In this episode, Nagi says this while sitting on her bed. In the manga, she says this while sitting up against a window.
    • Additionally, Nagi's pajamas were altered for this scene. In this episode, she wore plain pink pajamas. In the manga, her pajamas had star designs.
  • After having found Hayate doing finger push up as she entered Yukiji's old room, Hinagiku asks Hayate if he did push ups routinely, to which he confirms he has done them daily since he was little. This is absent in this episode.
  • While going over Hayate's mistakes on his homework, Hinagiku is shown to be marking them with a pencil. This is not present in this episode.
  • After having given up on asking Hayate on what happened with Ayumu on Valentines day, Hinagiku finds herself questioning her feelings for him as she was in her bed. In this scene, Hinagiku is shown to be covered with her blankets. In the manga, she had nothing over her.
    • Additionally, in the manga, this scene takes place in a flashback in the next chapter.
  • At the Nishizawa family's apartment, Ayumu has a dream about Hayate while she was asleep in her bed. This is not present in the manga.
  • While on her way to wake Hayate up for breakfast, Hinagiku is shown dressed in her Hakuo Academy uniform. In the manga, she was in her pajamas.
Chapter 77
  • While serving Hayate breakfast, Hinagiku is shown to be wearing her Hakuo Academy uniform. In the manga, she wore a black turtle neck shirt and a skirt.
    • Additionally, Hinagiku's monologue to herself of how she felt a small urge to hurt Hayate as she saw his dopey smile and him wondering if something was wrong upon seeing her, is absent in this episode.
  • After Hinagiku told Hayate that her mom would like it if he stayed another night, Mrs. Katsura is shown to be wearing an orange sweater underneath her apron. In the manga, she wore a cardigan over a button up shirt.
  • Having told Hinagiku that it was best to leave her alone for a few days, Hinagiku's thoughts of how Hayate was bold enough to give Ayumu the cold shoulder after she had confessed to him and her telling him that it was an unusual way of thinking, is absent in this episode.
  • At Hakuo Academy, Hayate reveals to Hinagiku that he had hidden a male Hakuo uniform and a spare butler's uniform in the student council room. This is absent in this episode.
  • After Hayate speaks about her, Nagi sneezes causing Maria to wonder if she has gotten sick. In the manga, after Miki had revealed to Hayate that there was another first year student who had became student council present years ago, Maria sneezes causing Nagi to ask her if she was catching a cold.
    • Additionally, Nagi and Maria are shown playing a video game using blue game controllers. In the manga, only Nagi was using a light gun controller.
    • Also, Nagi is shown to be wearing a peach colored short sleeved shirt over a purple long sleeved T-shirt. In the manga, she wore a short sleeved hoodie over a black turtle neck shirt.
  • After having received Hayate's coat and money from Yukiji, Maria sees that everyone whom Hayate gave his money to had came to the mansion to repay him. In this scene the woman who was in debt to the Yakuza appears along with the boy who broke his mother's vase, the little girl who had lost her wallet, the young man who wanted to buy a plane ticket, the young couple and the struggling manga artist. In the manga, the people who appeared where the woman who was in debt to the Yakuza, Souya, a female Shiomi high student, the boy who broke his mother's vase and his mother.
  • After having counted the returned money, Maria realizes that it all added up to be one million yen. In the manga, it was 999,998 yen.
  • After having been greeted by Miki, she asks Hayate why he isn't wearing his butler's uniform. In the manga, it was Izumi who asked him this question.
  • As Hayate had received a phone call from Maria, he is shown to be alone with Miki. In the manga, he was also with Risa and Izumi.
  • As Maria was putting on her old Hakuo Academy uniform, Nagi questions her on why she was in a creepy cosplay. This is absent in this episode.
Chapter 78
  • While reflecting on hanging up on Maria earlier, Hayate imagines what would have happened if he told Maria the truth about using up the one million yen she had given him. This is not present in this episode.
  • As Maria decides to go into the Hakuo clock tower, the time on the clock reads 8:30. In the manga, it was 3:55.
  • At the Sanzenin Mansion, Nagi calls out to Maria completely unaware that she isn't there. In the manga, Nagi calls out to her a couple of times before remembering that she had gone out.
    • Additionally, in this scene Nagi is shown to be wearing a peach colored short sleeved shirt over a purple long sleeved T-shirt. In the manga, Nagi wore a white ruffled sleeveless shirt over a long sleeved black T-shirt.
