Hayate no Gotoku! CAN'T TAKE MY EYES OFF YOU Episode 4 - The Fourth Night aired on October 24th 2012.

Synopsis[]

Ruri is looking for a way to get closer to Nagi in her search for the mysterious item known as the Kurotsubaki which is believed to be located at her mansion. Later after taking Chiharu and Kayura advice for her to buy some games for her to play with Nagi only just to find later that she had already bought and played them earlier. After Nagi, Chiharu and Kayura have a heated discussions about their preferences related to manga, anime and games, Ruri asks them for some recommendations and they set for Tachibana's shop. While the trio argue about which manga she should start reading first, she ends up wandering into the R-18 dōjinshi section just to flee in horror soon after. In the end, she ends up purchasing just a dōjinshi from an unknown author which Hayate recognizes as one of Nagi's original creations.

Trivia[]

  • While in Akihabara, the store Ruri visits to ask for Chiharu's advice is Animate.
  • While in Animate, Chiharu sells Ruri a video game called Dondoko Quest VII. This is a parody of Dragon's Quest VII
  • After having learned from Kayura that she needed a game console to play her recently purchased game, Ruri buys a gaming system called Dreamnyast. This is a parody of the Sega Dreamcast.
  • While still in Akihabara, Nagi shows Ruri the 1980s PC-88 game Silver Ghost as well as a figure from the anime series Goliath the Super Fighter.
  • While looking at anime, Hayate recommended the following titles to Ruri, Magical Princess Minky Momo, Space Runaway Ideon, Puella Magi Madoka Magica and an anime adaptation of A Dog of Flanders.
  • Among the stack of DVDs Ruri had piled on the cashier's counter,  two DVDs featuring a character heavily resembling Light Yagami from the first DVD volume of Death Note can be seen.
  • As Ruri was about to pay for the anime DVDs, she pulls out a credit card which is labeled "Baster Card". This is a parody of the credit card MasterCard.
  • Ruri buys a copy of "30 Days of Soul Burning" which is the Doujinshi that Nagi sold at NatsuComi that was shown in the flashback sequence in Hayate no Gotoku! Heaven is a Place on Earth. and later shown in the manga.
