Hayate reintroduces himself and explains he is 16 years old working as a bulter with a 150,000,000 yen debt forced on him by his parents and that his specialty is misfortune. Nagi calls out to Hayate telling him that since she woke up her head, throat and joints all hurt. Hayate concludes that she has a cold, which she agrees to and Hayate rushes to Maria to tell her that Nagi has a cold, only to discover that Maria too has a cold. Hayate exclaims that they took a break to get refreshed, but they ended up doing nothing on their first day back. Hayate decides to go and make something warm for the both of them. He suddenly realized that it might not just be those two who are sick and rushes to check on Hinagiku. He was shocked to found out that he was right. She greets him and says how a wonderful morning it was. He responds by telling her to go back to bed, but she says its just a headache and joint pain and that she can overcome it with willpower, but Hayate tells her that it can be overcomed with medicine. Chiharu comes in telling Hinagiku to not push herself too much, but appears wrapped up in warm clothing. They all appear together asking Hayate for things and he states that they look like a field hospital even though they took a 6 week break. Alice states how pathetic they all are and reminds Hayate that he has a final exam at Hakuou tomorrow and tells him that he will probably become sick and fail the exam as a punchline of everyone being sick the day before. Hayate then warns Alice to watch out so she doesn't catch the cold but then she suddenly sneezes. He is shocked that she has already caught the cold but she relents and claims it just a slight headache and joint pain, but Hayate states its a cold. Hayate chooses to go out and buy medicine for everyone but Alice warns him that it'll lead to the punchline. As he rushes out Kayura grabs his leg asking him to go buy duojinshi at Akihabara while he is out, causing him to fall, roll out a window, and get hit by a passing truck as well as crash into other things. In the end he returns back with the medicine for everyone and Nagi tells him to go to bed.
