This chapter starts off with Hayate dealing a fatal blow to Midas with the new flaming Masamune showing that he is more serious then ever before.
Hayate states that he will get Athena back at all costs. Midas replies with a terrifying roar while Hayate's eyes start to resemble those of a true warrior; he looks up at a sleeping Athena who is seemingly unaware of the danger she is in.
Even though Athena is trapped deep inside Midas' body, she can hear Hayate's voice and recalls how Hayate calls her "A-tan" for short. Hayate continues to battle the ferocious Midas who attacks the young butler with a barrage of swords.
Hayate fights off the attacks, but still suffers deep wounds. He struggles to call Athena, ignoring the cries of Hinagiku and Isumi who have been captured by Midas.
In her sleeping state, Athena recalls her memories of 10 years ago and her time with Hayate, regretting having sent him away. She wonders why, even though she loves him so much, she does nothing but hurt him?
She remembers the warm touch of his hands, the touch of his lips when they first kissed, but now she's afraid to touch him, sure she will only hurt him again.
Athena begins to cry, remembering Hayate from 10 years ago and recently at Hakuou Academy. She's desperate to see him, to hear him say her name again; she cries for Hayate.
At that moment, Hayate appears and rips open the cage that Athena is buried in. Telling her that he's come to save her, he asks her to hurry. Athena embraces him, crying out his name many times. He apologies for being late, to which Athena replies that it's fine now.
The scene shifts to Isumi and Silver Red (Hinagiku) - Isumi asks why they are leaving as she wishes to heal Hayate's injuries. Silver Red replies that it's not their job. Isumi then asks her if she's crying. Silver Red replies, "What are you saying, a hero is someone who can't show anyone the tears beneath her mask".
